Myofascial ReleaseMyofascial Release treatment involves a whole body assessment. Tissue glides, spreads, holds, twizzles, and stretches without lotion are used to gently communicate with your fascia and nervous system to reduce pain and augment function.
The techniques are applied for a sustained time - either engaging or creating slack in tissues - to allow the nervous system to downregulate and often gives the sensation of "softening" or "melting" of the fascia/tissues. I employ a variety of Myofascial techniques that are rooted in in my training with the John Barnes method of Myofascial Release www.myofascialrelease.com, creating a customized session that best suits the client’s needs. Please wear athletic attire that stretches and moves easily to facilitate ease of treatment (i.e. sports bra and shorts, athletic shorts, tank top, two piece swim suit, etc.) New patients must book an Initial Assessment as their first appointment. |
